What This Privacy Policy Covers
This policy covers how Iako treats personal information that Iako collects and receives, including information related to your past use of Iako products and services. "Personal information" includes information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, phone number, or credit card information, and that is not otherwise publicly available. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Iako does not own or control, or to people that Iako does not employ or manage.
Information Collection and Use
General
Iako collects personal information when you register with Iako, when you use Iako products or services, when you visit Iako pages or the pages of certain Iako partners, and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes. Iako may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies. When you register we ask for information such as your name, address, email address, birth date, gender, zip code, credit card info and personal interests. By registering with Iako and using Iako services, you are no longer anonymous to us. Iako collects information about your transactions with us and with some of our business partners. Iako automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, Iako cookie information, and the page you request. Personal Information is required for the following general purposes: to fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services and to contact you. Information collected is used, in part, to create a user profile that will allow us to customize your Iako experience. We may also use this information to conduct research and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients. Iako does not allow minors to use this service, and this is fully disclosed in our Terms of Service agreement.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Iako does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies, with the following exceptions:
1. To provide products or services you've requested;
2. When we have your permission; 3. We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with Iako and who are subject to Iako confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help Iako communicate with you about offers from Iako and our marketing partners. These companies do not have any independent right to share this information. 4. When, in the course of legal proceedings, we are required to provide site-specific information in order to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; 5. In the event that Iako needs to investigate, prevent or take other action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to or harm of any person, violations of Iako's terms of use, or as the law requires, we may find it necessary to share personal information. 6. If at any time, Iako is acquired by or merged with another company, we may transfer information about our users. In this event, Iako will notify you before information about you is transferred and/or becomes subject to a different privacy policy. Iako displays targeted advertisements based on the preferences and habits of its users. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click on specific ads meet that ad’s targeting criteria - for Iako does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet that advertisement’s targeting criteria. Iako advertisers include financial service providers (such as banks, insurance agents, stock brokers and mortgage lenders) and non-financial companies (such as stores, airlines, and software companies).
Cookies
Iako may set and access Iako cookies on your computer. Other companies that show advertisements on Iako pages may set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. No other company, including Iako’s advertisers, has access to Iako’s cookies. Iako uses web beacons to access Iako cookies inside and outside our network of web sites and in connection with Iako products and services.
Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences
You can edit your Iako Account Information, including your marketing preferences, at any time. However, at this time we keep your information in 100% confidence, and it is not rented, sold, r allowed to be viewed by any outside party. Therefore there may be no preferences applicable at this time. New categories may be added to the Marketing Preferences page from time to time. Users who visit this page can opt in or out of receiving future marketing communications related to these new categories or they can unsubscribe by following instructions contained in the messages they receive. Certain communications from Iako, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the Iako Newsletter, are considered part of Iako membership and you may not opt out of receiving them. You can delete your Iako account at any time by visiting our Account Deletion page in your account section of the Iako website.
Children
Iako does not allow children to register or interact with this service. However, it is possible for unregistered users to browse listings and the general site, over which we have no control.
Confidentiality and Security
Access to your personal information is restricted to employees who reasonably need to come into contact with that information in order to provide products or services to you or in fulfillment of their job responsibilities. We comply with all federal regulations regarding the protection of your personal information through the use of physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. Your Iako Account Information is password-protected. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. In certain areas Iako uses industry-standard SSL encryption to protect data transmissions. Indicators of protected areas can be found on your browser screen, and vary according to the different browsers and your personal settings.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Iako may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your Iako account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
